ummm....

Alright, So I really slacked off on the whole blog thing. Taji was fun, don't want to really go back, not really anyway. I love all the people I met and wouldn't mind seeing them again, but I rather not be in Iraq or go back to Iraq again... I know this is kinda lame, cause I'm leaving now. I'm on my way home, I'm kinda nervous. I left friends in Taji and I had just gotten used to my old friends leaving. Plus I'm going home and going back into the big scary world. I was barely making it before I deployed, I'm scared that I'm not going to be able to make it once I get back. But you never know until you try, right? Plus I have my boyfriend at home and he should be a comfort, if not a support. I feel like everything is being tossed in the air and I just have to try to catch everything as it falls. It's going to be hard, but I hope I can do it.

Help the Coffee Shop

Hi people!
Ok here's the deal. We have a free coffee shop on post. The catch is that it works off of donations and volunteer work. Soldiers take care of the volunteer work, but we need help from kind and loving people at home. Any kind of syrups for lattes and such would be greatly appreciated. And even if you can't help personally maybe you can get your church or other organization involved to help the soldiers. The place is called the Mudhouse. They have different entertainment on different nights for soldiers. Monday night is Jazz night, they have a jazz musician come out and play for a few hours, Tuseday night is Cigar night. There is a cigar guy and quality cigars would make good donations too. Wednesday night is bible study night. Thursday is Techno night. Friday is open mic. night. Anybody who wants to go up on stage and do anything is more than welcome. Saturday is Kariokie night, and Sunday night is Latino night. Fun latino music is played. The Mudhouse has games an books for soldiers so anything that you could think to donate to this great cause would be more than welcome.

The shipping address is:
Chaplin Ashbrook
HHC, 10 SBDT
APO AE 09378

Websites to order from:
www.monin.com
www.davincigormet.com
www.torani.com
www.discountcoffee.com

Also if any donations are sent to me, I'll make sure that they find their way over to the mudhouse. Thank you so much.

Live to you from Baghdad

Ok. We arrived in Baghdad yesterday and we're only supposed to stay here for a day. What a joke. There is a bunch of sand in the sky and we can't leave until it clears. The Air is all dusty and it pretty much sucks. I still don't have my own computer yet, but once I get a permenant address that will be resolved. So I send my love from 7-10 hours in the future. I love you all. Thanks for your support and love.

From Camp Atterbury

Ok, I'll be here for about 2 more weeks so that's saying I'm not going to be here much longer. That would be all fine and dandy, but I kinda fell of the face of the planet. I don't have my laptop and I don't know when or if I'll get a new one, so I'm stuck using the army computers that won't let you go anywhere and I ha ve finally found a way around all of that. To those who are missing me and actually will read this I miss you too. I would post my address, but I'll only be able to get mail for about another week or so, so next time you hear from me I'll be in Iraq or around there. Thank you for you're love and support.
